Finishing Strong in 2021: Keeping Your Foot on the Pedal

Hello,

In my last letter, I promised we were going to have a discussion. I wanted us to talk about our plans for the rest of this year. As the year winds down to a close, there’s a general tendency to relax and let go. In some cases, most people even give up, believing that whatever has not been achieved by now, has become a lost cause. While I hope that you have the most wonderful Christmas celebration with your family and friends, I urge you to not get carried away by the tinsels and the pizzaz of the holidays, it’s not over yet, you can still achieve so much. Do not take your foot off the pedal just yet.

Here are some things you should try doing before the year runs out in order to finish the year strong:

Spend some time alone in order to reflect on the year’s journey. Looking back at your highest and lowest moments might help you avoid new pitfalls in the new year and even offer some inspiration for success before the year runs out.

It is also important that you look at your circle and begin to declutter. Some relationships have not been very uplifting to you. If anything, they have constantly distracted you and hindered your progress. Of course, healthy distractions are very much recommended but sometimes, you can tell if a relationship has run its course. You are the company you keep, therefore, in order to finish the year strong, you may have to review and redefine the company you keep.

Think S.M.A.R.T – As much as you would like to make some headway before the end of the year, do not weigh yourself down with impractical goals. True, impossible is nothing, but setting specific, measurable, achievable, relevant and time-bound goals helps you stay focused. Take advantage of all the opportunities that are presented to you to attain your sales goal in the last few days of 2021.

Lastly, you might want to do an appraisal of your sale funnel this year. What was the conversation rate of your leads? Do you need to start looking elsewhere? What are your prospects asking for and have you been able to satisfy their demands?

Doing all of these things is guaranteed to wrap up your year even stronger than you planned and set you on the right path for the new year.

Here’s a little reminder for you “If you’re brave enough to start, you’re strong enough to finish” — Gary Ryan Blair

XOXO
